The Gambler

Welcome all to my game night!

The prizes are pure sublime

There’s no money or chips

Just your heart on the line.

Men? Women? You get the jist-

Faithful or not, I always plead the fifth.

I play dumb, but I always know your next move

Heartbreak, game over.

all over a draw two.

Relationships to me, have always been just a game.

Teary eyes, poker face.

Pieces lost, points gained

See, I've always been a jack of all trades.

Even back to the days of candy land.

Any chance I might have at losing-

I’ll just cheat so I can spin again.

Remember sore losers are simply undateable

Cause regardless of the game-

Plastic pieces are always the most breakable.

It’s no longer checkers, silly it’s chess

So think with your brain, you’ll lose like the rest.

It’s best if you’re strategic

‘cause honey, I learn real fast.

And I get bored real easily,

so you bess’ be on edge.

I grow tired of playing the same game

You can only play go-fish for so long

I simply find a new one and play along.

Old “classics” will always be on my shelf

Solely for my entertainment.

Yet to me, a game not won,

is simply a game wasted.
