As a Project Director for the Tallahassee Black Artist Collective, I spearheaded projects that heavily relied on cross-functional collaboration with a talented and diverse team of artists and creatives to conceptualize and deliver impactful content. From digital artwork to immersive installations and multimedia presentations, I ensured every project aligned with the collective's mission to amplify Black voices and foster community engagement. This role required a strategic vision that balanced artistic creativity with operational precision, ensuring alignment between goals and measurable outcomes.
Beyond creative leadership, I conducted in-depth research and community analysis, identifying key areas of need within the local cultural landscape. These insights informed initiatives that addressed gaps in accessibility and engagement, empowering the collective to better serve Tallahassee's community. I spearheaded the planning and execution of signature projects such as the zine, "The BLOCK," and its fundraiser, blending creativity with operational strategy to maximize impact.
I streamlined workflows, effectively allocated resources, and consistently met tight deadlines without compromising quality. I meticulously evaluated program outcomes through detailed analysis and actionable feedback, driving continuous improvements that enhanced the success of events and initiatives.
My leadership extended to overseeing event coordination, hosting, and internal operations, from curating themes to managing logistics. I ensured every detail resonated with the collective’s artistic vision and community-focused mission. These efforts not only strengthened the collective's presence as a cultural hub but also expanded its impact, fostering meaningful connections between artists, audiences, and stakeholders.
This work exemplifies my commitment to leveraging multimedia communications as a tool for community building, delivering results that resonate with local audiences while positioning the collective as a pillar of Tallahassee’s vibrant cultural landscape.
